The Natalie Kate Moss Trust was set up in 2012 by the Moss family following the sudden death of Natalie at the age of 26 after an unexpected Brain Haemorrhage.
WHY WE STARTED?
WHAT WE DO?
Focusing on turning this tragedy into something positive, our mission is to empower you to understand how to prevent lifestyle related brain haemorrhages from occurring, whilst generating funds to support ground breaking research to treat them when they do. By joining forces with Manchester University, we support groundbreaking research into Haemorrhagic Stroke at the University whose vision is to improve outcome after a brain haemorrhages.
TREATMENT.
Following a brain haemorrhage…within one month only 3 out of 5 patients will survive. This statistic that has not changed in 40 years, in contrast breast cancer survival has doubled in that same period, with four out of five patients surviving at 10 years. This is why the research at Manchester University is so critical to finding a treatment to improving the outcome after someone experiences a brain haemorrhage.
Since 2012, NKMT have been working in partnership with Manchester University to help fund this groundbreaking research and over the last 12 years, their research has gone from strength to strength.
