In 2022, I suddenly lost my Mum, Róisín, to a brain haemorrhage. This completely turned mine and my family's lives upside down, as she was only 51 and very healthy. After taking some time to grieve, I decided I wanted to do something in her memory. I knew straight away that I wanted to try and help prevent other families from going through what mine has. I managed to raise £1,050 — which I am so pleased with and so proud of. I will definitely be fundraising for this charity again!

The fundraising target helps us cover the cost of your place and fund our vital work, but if you’re struggling, please let us know as early as possible. In most cases, we can offer extra fundraising support, ideas and encouragement. We always aim to be fair and understanding - communication is key.
You won’t be doing this alone. We provide:

Your NKMT running vest will usually be sent out once the withdrawal deadline has passed and the initial fundraising milestone is reached (if applicable). We’ll let you know exactly when to expect it, but this is typically several weeks before race day, giving you plenty of time to train in it and show off your support!

,In some cases if the withdrawal deadline has not passed, it may be possible to defer or transfer your place, depending on the race organiser’s rules. If that isn’t an option, we’ll talk things through with you and agree on the best next steps together.
