About Brighton Marathon 2027

THE UK'S THIRD LARGEST MARATHON

The Brighton Marathon takes place on Sunday 4 April 2027, starting at Preston Park and covering 26.2 miles of road through one of the UK's most iconic cities.

As the UK's third-largest marathon, Brighton is considered a must-do event for runners looking for a major city race outside of London. The course is fast and relatively flat, taking you from the city through vibrant communities, past iconic landmarks including the Royal Pavilion, and out along the stunning Brighton and Hove seafront, ,with the finish line at Hove Lawns.

Along the way you'll pass Brighton Palace Pier and enjoy extensive stretches along the coast, with a lively atmosphere and crowd support cheering you every step of the way.

Up to 20,000 participants are expected across the full Brighton Marathon Weekend, which also includes the Brighton Miles and the Brighton & Hove 10K, making it a truly spectacular occasion.

"

In 2022, I suddenly lost my Mum, Róisín, to a brain haemorrhage. This completely turned mine and my family's lives upside down, as she was only 51 and very healthy. After taking some time to grieve, I decided I wanted to do something in her memory. I knew straight away that I wanted to try and help prevent other families from going through what mine has. I managed to raise £1,050 — which I am so pleased with and so proud of. I will definitely be fundraising for this charity again!

Frequently asked questions

GOT A QUESTION?

  • Yes! UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid to their donations at no extra cost. This means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, helping your fundraising go even further. Donors simply need to tick the Gift Aid box when making their donation and confirm that they are a UK taxpayer.

  • We understand that fundraising can feel daunting and we’re here to support you every step of the way. The fundraising target helps us cover the cost of your place and fund our vital work, but if you’re struggling, please let us know as early as possible. In most cases, we can offer extra fundraising support, ideas and encouragement. We always aim to be fair and understanding - communication is key.

  • You won’t be doing this alone. We provide:

    • A fundraising pack with ideas and tips to help you get started;

    • One-to-one support if you’re feeling unsure or stuck;

    • Help with setting up and sharing your fundraising page.

    Many runners are surprised by how achievable the target feels once they get going - and we’ll be right there to help you build confidence and momentum.

  • Your NKMT running vest will usually be sent out once the withdrawal deadline has passed and the initial fundraising milestone is reached (if applicable). We’ll let you know exactly when to expect it, but this is typically several weeks before race day, giving you plenty of time to train in it and show off your support!

  • Yes. Once you’ve paid the registration fee, your place in the race is guaranteed. We’ll guide you through the process and confirm everything clearly so you know where you stand.

  • If you find that you can no longer take part, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing fundraising@nataliekatemoss.co.uk

    In some cases, if the withdrawal deadline has not passed, it may be possible to defer or transfer your place, depending on the race organiser’s rules. If that isn’t an option, we’ll talk things through with you and agree on the best next steps together.
