Brain haemorrhages can affect anyone. By hitting your stride, you can help us to save more lives from brain haemorrhages through education on how to prevent them and funding groundbreaking research to better treat them when they happen.

FAQs
General
You can apply via our online application form. We’ll ask about your motivation and fundraising ideas. We usually see high demand for our London Marathon places so this is your chance to shine!
We aim to review applications on a rolling basis and will be in touch as soon as possible.
We’re looking for passionate supporters who are committed to fundraising and representing our charity. Previous marathon experience isn’t required.
The registration fee helps go towards covering the cost of the place, which comes at a significant cost to our charity. It also helps contribute to a number of other related costs:

It does not count towards your fundraising goal.-
Fundraising
Yes, we ask all runners to commit to raising a minimum of £2,500.
Yes, there is a registration fee of £300 to secure your place.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the registration fee.
We’ll provide fundraising ideas, resources and one-to-one support to help you hit your target.
We’ll work closely with you throughout your journey, but we do ask that you commit to doing everything you can to reach the target. Whilst we'll support you to hit your goals, please note that NKMT reserves the right to withdraw the place of runners who do not hit their fundraising targets.
You'll need to raise £1,250 (50%) by 1st Jan 2027, £1,875 (75%) by 1st March 2027 and £2,500 by race day.
No, the fundraising goal of £2,500 does not include the registration fee.
Training & Support
Yes! You’ll receive training plans, expert tips and access to webinars to help you prepare.
Yes - we host virtual meet-ups so you can connect with fellow runners. You’ll be invited to join a Whatsapp group with other runners.
Race Day
Yes! All our runners receive a branded NKMT vest to wear proudly on race day.
Absolutely - we’ll be out on the course cheering you on.
Ballot Places
That’s great! You can still run for us with no fundraising target - just let us know and we’ll support you.
Yes - you can apply for a charity place while waiting for your ballot result.
