In 2022, I suddenly lost my Mum, Róisín, to a brain haemorrhage. This completely turned mine and my family's lives upside down, as she was only 51 and very healthy. After taking some time to grieve, I decided I wanted to do something in her memory. I knew straight away that I wanted to try and help prevent other families from going through what mine has. I managed to raise £1,050 — which I am so pleased with and so proud of. I will definitely be fundraising for this charity again!

Yes! UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid to their donations at no extra cost. This means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, helping your fundraising go even further. Donors simply need to tick the Gift Aid box when making their donation and confirm that they are a UK taxpayer.

About Oxford Half Marathon 2027
13.1 Miles Through One of Britain’s Most Beautiful Cities
The Oxford Half Marathon takes place every autumn in one of Britain’s most iconic and recognisable cities — and with 2027 marking another chapter in its proud history, it’s one of the most coveted charity places on the autumn running calendar.

Fifteen years after its debut in 2011, Oxford Half has become firmly established as one of the highlights of the autumn running calendar. It’s easy to understand why. A fast, flat and fully closed-road course provides plenty of PB potential, but Oxford gives the 13.1 miles a setting that few races can match. Starting and finishing on Mansfield Road, runners head through the city and towards Old Marston, passing the River Cherwell and University of Oxford locations before returning towards the historic centre.

Runners enjoy the fast, flat and beautiful route through University Parks and the historic Oxford city centre, celebrated throughout with entertainment and cheering fans. And the impact goes far beyond race day — more than £1.5 million was raised for over 180 charities at the 2025 event alone.
