Thank you so much for taking on an amazing challenge for the Natalie Kate Moss Trust!
From today, we have no doubt that you’ll be putting your best foot forward to get the most out of your training and we want to help you to do the same for your fundraising!
Every single place we offer in a race, we buy as a charity. Your fundraising helps to cover this cost and then, most importantly, goes towards our mission: to save more lives from brain haemorrhages through education on how to prevent them and funding groundbreaking research to better treat them when they happen.
So, quite simply, the more you raise, the more work we can do to support this mission; truly, every single penny counts!
This year we have a monumental goal of raising £138,305.56 – which will cover one full year of research on a three-year project – including all of the tools, equipment and world-leading researchers needed to make a breakthrough at the University of Manchester.
By taking on this challenge, you can help us achieve this goal. Read on to find out how to inspire your friends and family about your challenge and smash your fundraising target this year!
Start the ball rolling….
By giving yourself that first £5, you can help to kick-start your fundraising efforts – people who make a donation to their own page to get them started raise a whopping 42% more!
Don’t forget to add Gift Aid!
Gift Aid can hugely boost your donations just by ticking a box! Encouraging your supporters to do the same will make every donation go 25% further at no cost to you.
Build your story
We’ll give you a bit of background about the Natalie Kate Moss Trust through JustGiving to get you started, but sharing why you’re completing your incredible mission will inspire people to donate.
Photos, videos of your training sessions and any notes you can add to your page will make people want to get behind you – so share away!
Share!
You’ve created your page, accepted your first (personal donation), added your story – now’s the time to share with friends and family so they can support your journey. Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, WhatsApp, email – use any and all ways you can let people know the good stuff you’re doing.
Connect your apps
Love your Strava? You can connect your fitness apps to JustGiving to share your training progress with everyone you know. You can also join our NMKT Strava Club for training and support.
Think outside the box
Online donations are quick and efficient, but raffles, pub quizzes, bake sales – all of these are great options to help you raise more money as well as awareness about why you’re challenging yourself as well as the charity you’re supporting.
Updates and thanks
As your training ramps up and the big day gets closer, your fans will appreciate hearing how everything is going – posting an update also gives you the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who’s donated so far! And don’t be shy, give them a little nudge to keep donating!
The BIG DAY!
You’ve done all the hard work, now it’s time to conquer your challenge! Share progress on race day to inspire friends and family to support you.
After your event
Did you know that 20% of donations are likely to come in after your event has ended? Make the most of those endorphins and share the love to smash your fundraising AND race goals.
We’re with you for every step – just drop us a line if you want any help or guidance along the way.
