On Friday, 10th October, The Natalie Kate Moss Trust hosted its second annual Golf Day at Mottram Hall. This event brought together an amazing community of players, sponsors, and supporters for a day filled with sport, connection, and impact.
Throughout the day, players enjoyed not just the challenge of the course, but also the sense of togetherness that comes from supporting such an important cause. Brain Haemorrhages are devastating, with 4.6 million cases occurring every year. Shockingly, only 3 out of 5 patients survive one month after a brain haemorrhage. This year's golf day was not just an amazing day of sport; it was an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the landscape of brain haemorrhages.
£20,000 Raised for Life-Saving Research
Together, our Golf Day community raised just under £20,000. This phenomenal total will directly fund groundbreaking brain haemorrhage research at the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre at The University of Manchester.
The funds will help support one of the Trust’s pioneering research projects, The ABC Bundle. Developed by Consultant Neurologist Dr Adrian Parry-Jones, this project is already transforming emergency stroke care and saving lives. Now being rolled out across all NHS Trusts in England, the ABC Bundle has been shown to reduce deaths by over 30% within the first month after a brain haemorrhage.
Seeing our supporters’ efforts drive forward such life-changing progress is truly inspiring. Every pound raised helps continue this momentum. It brings us closer to a future where brain haemorrhages can be better treated, drastically improving outcomes for patients who experience one.
£20,000 raised = 4 months of groundbreaking research into developing the lifesaving ABC Bundle.

Together, We’re Driving Change
The success of this year’s Climb for Change and Golf Day events shows the incredible things that can happen when people come together to support research, awareness, and prevention.
Every event, every donation, and every supporter plays a part in creating a future free from the devastation of brain haemorrhages. For that, we are endlessly grateful. Here’s to another amazing year of making change happen, both on the green and beyond.
The Importance of Community Support
Community support is vital. It creates a network of individuals committed to a common cause. When we unite, we amplify our voices. We can spread awareness about brain haemorrhages and their impact. Each conversation can lead to more understanding and prevention.
The Role of Education
Education plays a crucial role in prevention. By informing the public about the signs and symptoms of brain haemorrhages, we can save lives. Knowledge empowers individuals to act quickly. Quick action can mean the difference between life and death.
Fundraising Initiatives
Fundraising initiatives, like our Golf Day, are essential. They provide the necessary resources for research and education. Every pound raised contributes to a larger goal. Together, we can fund innovative research that leads to better treatments and outcomes for patients.
The Future of Research
Looking ahead, the future of research is bright. With continued support, we can explore new avenues in brain haemorrhage treatment. Our commitment to funding cutting-edge research at Manchester University is unwavering. Together, we can turn personal tragedy into positive change.
Join Us in Making a Difference
We invite you to join us in making a difference. Whether through participation, sponsorship, or donations, every contribution counts. Together, we can create a future where brain haemorrhages are better understood and treated. Let’s work together to save lives and foster hope for those affected.
